Nazra means reading the Quran while looking at the text. You work on accuracy and a steady reading pace, with your teacher listening and correcting pronunciation. This course develops reading; translation and memorization are separate areas of study.

Noorani Qaida is a primer that introduces Arabic letters, vowel marks, and sound combinations before Quran reading. It is a useful starting point if you cannot yet recognize Arabic letters or join them into words. You may also see the name spelled Norani Qaida or Nurani Qaidah.
Qaida teaches the foundations of reading Arabic. Nazra means reading the Quran while looking at the text, with attention to pronunciation and fluency. A beginner usually starts with Qaida; someone who can already read can be assessed for Nazra instead.
